Η Art Thessaloniki Fair έχει καθιερωθεί ως το σημαντικότερο εικαστικό γεγονός στο νότιο-ανατολικό άκρο της Ευρώπης. Στην 4η Ιnternational Contemporary Art Fair THESSALONIKI, ambassador, τιμώμενος καλλιτέχνης θα είναι ο Χολιγουντιανός ηθοποιός και αξιόλογος ζωγράφος με ελληνικές ρίζες, Billy Zane που έγινε ευρύτερα γνωστός από την συμμετοχή του στον Τιτανικό. Γεννήθηκε στο Σικάγο και σπούδασε στο Harand Camp of the Theater Arts στο Elkhart Lake του Wisconsin. Η αγάπη του για την ζωγραφική έγινε πιο έντονη κατά την διάρκεια των γυρισμάτων του Τιτανικού στο Μεξικό. Μετέτρεψε το γκαράζ του καταλύματός του σε στούντιο και εκεί ξεκίνησε να φτιάχνει έργα τέχνης χρησιμοποιώντας υλικά που μάζευε από την περιοχή μετά από τις συχνές και ισχυρές καταιγίδες που σάρωναν την περιοχή. Έργα του έχουν εκτεθεί στο Λος Άντζελες, Λονδίνο, Βουδαπέστη, Μιλάνο και Μαϊάμι. Τα περισσότερα από αυτά είναι φτιαγμένα σε εξωτερικούς χώρους, κάτω από το φευγαλέο φως της ημέρας με ανακυκλωμένα υλικά. Η πρώτη συλλογή του με τίτλο « Σκοτώνοντας με αγάπη» κατάφερε να αφήσει άφωνους τους θαυμαστές του.
Ο Billy Zane γεννήθηκε το 1966 στο Σικάγο από Έλληνες προγόνους. Ηθοποιός και ζωγράφος, σπούδασε στο Harand Camp of the Theater Arts στο Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Σε πολύ μικρή ηλικία ανακάλυψε την αγάπη του όχι μόνο για την υποκριτική αλλά και για την ζωγραφική που συνεχίζει παρουσιάζοντας δουλειά του σε γκαλερί στο L.A . Έχει παίξει σε διάσημες ταινίες όπως στο Back to the future (1985) και στον Τιτανικό (1997). Έχει δική του εταιρία παραγωγής ταινιών και θα είναι παραγωγός στην ταινία “Waltzing With Brando” στην οποία και θα πρωταγωνιστήσει. Η ταινία βασίζεται στα απομνημονεύματα του αρχιτέκτονα Μπέρναρντ Τζατζ με τίτλο «Waltzing With Brando: Planning a Paradise in Tahiti» (Βαλς με τον Μπράντο: Σχεδιάζοντας έναν παράδεισο στην Ταϊτή).

Η Ιnternational Contemporary Art Fair THESSALONIKI ιδρύθηκε από τον Παντελή Τσάτση που διατελεί και καλλιτεχνικός διευθυντής της έκθεσης, σε συνεργασία με την ΔΕΘ HELEXPO. Η 4η διοργάνωση της (Νοέμβριος 2019), θα φιλοξενηθεί στη HELEXPO στα περίπτερα 10, 9 και 8 στο κέντρο της Θεσσαλονίκης. Θα εμπλουτιστεί με ένα πλούσιο παράλληλο πρόγραμμα που περιλαμβάνει εκθέσεις σημαντικών συλλογών συλλεκτών, projects, ομιλίες και καλλιτεχνικά δρώμενα. Ο ambassador της φετινής έκθεσης είναι ο γνωστός εικαστικός Billy Jane ενώ τιμώμενος καλλιτέχνης είναι ο διεθνούς φήμης Νίκος Μπάϊκας
Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair has established itself as the most important visual arts event at the south-eastern end or Europe. Billy Zane will be the ambassador and honoured artist at the 4th Art Thessaloniki International Contemporary Art Fair; Zane, Hollywood actor and notable painter with Greek roots, became publicly known after his role in the Titanic movie. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended Harand Camp of the Theater Arts, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. While filming the Titanic, his love for painting became more intense. He turned his lodge garage into a studio, and it was there that he started creating works of Art using material he used to gather from the area, after intense thunderstorms had swept the area. His Art has been exhibited in Los Angeles, London, Budapest, Milan, and also Miami. The majority of his works have been created outdoors, under the fleeting light of day using recycled materials. His first exhibition entitled “Killing with Love”, left the artist’s admirers speechless.
Billy Zane was born in 1966 in Chicago to Greek ancestors. The actor and painter, studied at Harand Camp of the Theater Arts in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. At a very young age he realized he loves not only acting but also painting and he keeps exhibiting his works in galleries in LA. He has appeared in famous movies such as Back to the Future (1985) and the Titanic (1997). He has his own production company and he will be the producer of the Waltzing with Brando movie, in which he will be the leading actor. The film will be based on the memoirs of architect Bernard Judge and its full title will be “Waltzing with Brando: Planning a paradise in Tahiti”.

International Contemporary Art Fair THESSALONIKI was founded by Pantelis Tsatsis, who is also the Artistic Director of the exhibition, in cooperation with Thessaloniki International Fair – HELEXPO. The 4th Fair (November 2019), will be hosted in stalls 10, 9, and 8 by HELEXPO, in Thessaloniki city centre. It will be enriched with exhibitions of important art collector associations, projects, speeches, and artistic events. Renounced artist Billy Zane will be this year’s ambassador while Nikos Baikas, a painter of international repute, will be the honored artist.
